Zip HydroTap units include a safety lock to prevent accidental dispensing of boiling water. To unlock, press both the red lever and the safety button simultaneously. On some models, you can hold the chilled lever + safety button for ~10 seconds to disable the lock mode temporarily.

To replace the filter cartridge in a Zip HydroTap:

Open the access door to access the cartridge.
Position a bucket under the filter, and if present, press the red lever or open the stopcock to relieve pressure.
Rotate the old cartridge a quarter turn to the left and pull it downwards.
Install the new cartridge by moistening the O-rings, pushing it into position, and turning a quarter turn to the right to lock it in.
Run water to flush out carbon fines (e.g. 10 litres) and reset the filter counter via the touchscreen.

Using a Zip hot water tap is straightforward. Press the red lever (often inwards) while engaging the safety button simultaneously to dispense boiling water. Some models allow you to disable the safety lock after holding certain levers for a few seconds.
